The maximum volumetric capacity for cooking is 3/4 of the total capacity of the item. Use a low heat source to prevent food from sticking to the bottom of the pan. When using the pan on a gas stove, the flame should not exceed the base of the pan. If using an electric griddle, the griddle should have a diameter equal to or smaller than that of the pan. Always dissolve salt in boiling water or with the food, stirring the ingredients at the beginning of cooking. Do not heat food by placing a pan of the same diameter on top of another. This procedure is dangerous, as it creates a vacuum and makes it impossible to remove it. Some foods that contain starch, such as pasta and rice, may stain the inside of the pan during cooking. To easily remove stains, wipe with a cloth dampened with lemon juice or vinegar, or use Tramontina stainless steel polishing paste. Avoid leaving food in the pan for a long time; salt can also cause stains.
To keep your stainless steel casserole dish looking beautiful and shiny, we recommend that you only wash it with detergent and a sponge. Tramontina has developed a special paste to polish and remove stains from stainless steel products, which is available at major points of sale. After washing, whenever possible, rinse the casserole dish with hot water and dry it immediately to keep its original shine, as chlorine and other substances contained in water can stain the casserole dish. Do not leave an empty casserole dish on a heat source. Only leave hot casserole dishes on heat-resistant surfaces. Stainless steel handles get hot during cooking, so use gloves when handling them
